Get up to 15 free credit reports per year

Do you want to check your credit report? You can get the first 3 free by visiting annualcreditreport.com for a free credit report from Experian, Equifax, or Trans Union. You want to pick one of the three every four months since they will only let you get one each per year. However, according to the Fair Credit Reporting Act, you can place a fraud alert every 90 days and get your credit report for free.

Simply call any or all three to get your free credit report:

  • Equifax: 800-685-1111; Fraud Dept. 800-525-6285
  • Experian: 888-397-3742 (same for Fraud Dept.)
  • Trans Union: 800-916-8800; Fraud Dept. 800-680-7289

Remember, the above is only a credit report. The report doesn’t give you a credit score.

If you want to get a free credit score, you can click through the picture to sign up. Make sure you cancel your account before the 30 days free promotion is over.

  1. Hey thanks for the tips. Although, I’m not too sure it’s a good idea to put a fraud alert on your file, it will prevent you from attaining further credit.
