The NASA Federal Credit Union $300 checking account promotion is available to everyone who is a new member. Membership can be attained by joining the National Space Society. There is no monthly fees with direct deposit. There is no minimum initial deposit, and there are no minimum balance requirements. You will also get the first box of checks free. Actual branches are located in Maryland, Washington, DC and Virginia.
The first $175 is more attainable. They include $100 for Direct Deposit Checking, $25 for signing up for eStatements, and $50 for getting a NASA Federal Visa Platinum credit card and making a purchase by 7/31/08.
To get an extra $100, you must take out a loan $5K or more. $25 extra for referring a new member. Last day to join is June 30th of 2008.
There are many ways to join other than being an astronaut. The National Space Society cost only $20 to join. Once you are in the credit union, there is no need to renew your membership with National Space Society. Check out the credit union’s field of membership for a more comprehensive list.
